Meet Our Members of ICPD30

Mohammad Moazami

Afghanistan
Mohammad earned public health as bachelor degree and now is senior student of master degree of public health at Kabul Medical University. Behind of these, he has certificates of proposal writing, leadership & management, lifesaving, research and TOT for peer education for the past five years and received many awards. I have been working in health & nutrition services and developmental sectors with main focus on mothers, youth, and children for around 5 years including situation analysis, project formulation, implementation, monitoring & evaluation, and reporting in both normal and emergency contexts. During his time off from providing nutrition services, Mohammad volunteers in community, attending football game, listen to music and read his favorite books. He is also an active member of the Y-PEER advocate since 2016 and have gotten the membership of ICPD30 Asia Pacific Regional Youth Group as well.

ZHENG Wanting

China
ZHENG Wanting is a student majoring in clinical medicine from China. She is working in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights in Guangdong Province, China for more than 4 years. During her bachelor's degree, she devoted herself to the establishment of SRHR student associations and organizations and contributed articles to many official we-media to carry out science popularization related to SRHR. In her clinical study and work, she also actively provides relevant help to patients and their families. Currently, she is a member of the International Publicity Department of China Youth Network as well. She hopes to take the opportunity to volunteer for Asia-Pacific ICPD30+ Regional Youth Consultation and advocate for global youth development on an international level

Utthan Roy

Bangladesh
Utthan Roy is a youth transgender activist working in sexual and reproductive health and rights, Gender Equality, Advocacy & networking, and Climate Change for more than five years in Bangladesh. He holds a B.Sc in civil engineering. Have practical experience and knowledge of the concept and approaches relevant to the understanding of program designing and planning, community development, SRHR, HIV /AIDS prevention program, supportive supervision and monitoring, training, facilitation, communication, and develop strategic behaviour communication (SBC) materials. Also conducted TOT on General Counseling, Gender & Sexualities to Information (RTI), Gender and Development. Mr Roy also has evidence-based ground experience in conducting training with high-risk populations, gender diversity peoples, hijra and other MARP populations.

Eiysha Alkozay

Afghanistan
Miss Eiysha Alkozay is from Kabul, Afghanistan. She is 18 years old, and she completed her school 12 grade and working at Y-PEER Afghanistan voluntarily. She also remains a social mobiliser and volunteer, Trainer and women's voice raise. The most important job that she liked and became popular among was Art on the wall against violence.

K.M. Tha-Ha Owasif Aurnob

Bangladesh
K.M. Tha-Ha Owasif Aurnob is a Youth activist working in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights for more than 4 years. He is an undergrade student majoring in the Department of Physical Education & Sports Science at University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. With experience from the grass roots to international organizations, he offers expertise in gender issues to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights for adolescents and youth. He is currently Joint Secretary at Leo Club of Chittagong Port City(2022-23). And working as a International Student Intern at International Organization for Health, Sports & Kinesiology (IOHSK).. He participate as a delegate in SDG Youth Summy- 2022, held in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh.

Khadija Mayhandos

Afghanistan
Ms Khadija Mayhandost is from Rustaq district of Takhaar province. She started her job as announcer in Radio Star. I successfully graduated from the institute in 2013. From 2013 to 2018 She worked as administrative officer with AFCECO. In 2014 she started her career as news reporter with Noor TV. She and her group of female friends gathered together and established a non profit culture organization (Jahane Andisha) to support the culture of book reading among people, promoting the knowledge level and empowering women. She is the general director of this organisation. She worked for two consecutive years with ministry of education as general director of provinces, which she was leading a team of 50 people.

Anika Rokiya Roushan Rashmi

Bangladesh
Ms Anika Rokiya Roushan Rashmi is a youth activist and volunteer. She worked with BRAC sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) science 2019 get an honor to achieve "Bangabondhu Digital Socal Innovation" award in the category of socail inclusion individual and doing debate in her university debate organisation. She love doing art and rifle shooting very frequently. She is an enthusiastic person for grabbing any kind of work which enhances her capability to do for her people.

Jahirul Islam

Bangladesh
Jahirul Islam is a young leader, entrepreneur, researcher, influencer and trainer of the disability community. Physical disabilities could not stop him from running rather strengthen his dream to be persistent in attaining. Graduated from Jahangirnagar University in Government and Development. Since 2013, he has been continuously working with national and international organizations in Bangladesh on the inclusion of persons with disabilities. He has been vocal to achieve inclusive and sustainable development without prejudice, from skill building activities to reframing thinking and establishing equal rights for persons with disabilities. He dreams of an inclusive world where people with disabilities become people with great potential.Jahir is the recipient of the Jai Bangla Youth Award in 2020. The Government of Bangladesh recognizes youth leadership in empowering people with disabilities through this annual award.

Prim Rajasurang Wongkrasaemongkol​

Prim Rajasurang Wongkrasaemongkol is passionate about using AI to bring equality to everyone. Development should begin with gender equality, inclusion of women and girls at the decision-making level, promotion of women empowerment through technology, value and respect women opinions and action in leadership. AI technology expands new possibilities for tackling climate change, which is inextricably linked and has a disproportionate impact on women. In her view,  together, we will make our world the better place, with quality life including education, health and opportunity for all.

Sangay Dechen Gyanzo

Bhutan
Sangay Dechen Gyanzo is a youth volunteer and an advocate for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Bhutan. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development and is currently serving as the National Coordinator of Y-PEER Bhutan. She is very enthusiastic about working on addressing social issues related to SRHR, Young Key Population, and gender disparities through peer advocacy. Having completed her training as a trainer on SRHR in 2019, as a young volunteer and advocate for more than 3 years, she has organized and taken part in facilitating several batches of National Training on Trainer and e-courses on SRHR and has also facilitated a hybrid training on SRHR in PNG. She has also represented her country in the South Asian Youth X-change program and has participated as a resource person for various trainings and consultations.

Zayan

Maldives
A relatively young and fresh voice, Zayan represents the result of a demographic shift in the Maldivian society – with more young people joining the work force and demanding progressive values for change. They finished their studies in Melbourne, with a degree in International Relations, sociology and anthropology. Zayan has an affinity for writing and still continues to write for university publications such as the youth-led Esperanto magazine. They joined the Monash International affairs society, as well as the Monash, Gender Peace and Security Centre. They also work at Uthema, a CSO which work towards gender advocacy for the lived realities of women and girls in the Maldives. Zayan is vocal on gender issues, social dynamics and cultural shifts. They look forward to and are actively working towards a more tolerant, safer and resilient Maldives.

Roshme powdel

Bhutan
Roshme powdel is a final year student pursuing bachelor of arts in English and Dzongkha at Bhutan. She has been an active member of Y-peer in her College. She has been an ambitious core volunteer who took part in mental health campaign organized by Me for Myself (M4M). She attended several e-course at national level as well as South- Asia pacific level related to mental health, sexual and reproductive health. Attending such courses helped her to discover unknown factors and terms which were mostly related to youths. She is currently one of the core member of livenow campaign. She is very ambitious and passionate to learn. She believes that everything will be possible with the help of ICPD platform. Engaging in various activities throughout the journey.

Dupcho Nangsi Lhamo from Bhutan is an enthusiastic peer worker looking out for opportunities to give her best to educate her peer mates.

Rajesh Sharma

India
Mr. Rajesh Sharma is an Indian student pursuing Masters of Public Health at the Indian Institute of Public Health, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. He did his graduation in Pharmacy from K.R. Mangalam University. He is currently serving as a Contact Person for IPGA-SF, India at International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (2021-22). He was selected as an Official Student delegate to represent IPSF at the 74th WHO South East Asia Regional Office meeting hosted by Nepal. He served in various capacities at Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association Student Forum. His areas of interest include Global Health, Epidemiology, and SRHR.His goal is to accomplish affordable and equitable health for marginalized and lower strata of the population in his country and region.

Rinchen Niksum Dorji

Bhutan
Ms Rinchen Niksum Dorji is a final year law student of GGSIPU, USLLS; New Delhi. Her pronouns are she/her. Apart from her excellent academic performance, She is an active youth advocate and the co-founder of a social group, ‘Woke Culture’. Perusing law has not only helped her understand Justice, equality and equity but has also helped her understand the social element and need of legal and social advocacy in the community. With the mission to create awareness and advocate people on various social issues; standing together as a platform to reach the unreached and voice the voiceless, the team is working towards social justice and dissemination of authentic and credible content. Having collaborated with many renowned organizations, facilitated workshops and deliberations, at both national and international level, she possess very good communication skills, leadership skills and professional work ethics.

Tshering Choden

Bhutan
Tshering Choden is from eastern part of Bhutan. She is currently pursuing Bachelor of Law in Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law which is the first law school in Bhutan established by the Royal Charter on 21st February 2015. She is currently serving as a core member of Y-Peer JSW.Throughout her journey, she has achieved certificate of completion of the Virtual Sensitization Workshop on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health and Peer Education organized by Y-PEER Bhutan and Regional E-course 4.0 on Peer Education linking Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, GBV,CSE and privacy. She has also conducted Training of Trainers along with the focal of the college in JSWSL institution and participated in the 6th National Y-Peer meet.

Pranisha Sharma

Bhutan
Ms Pranisha Sharma is a college student currently pursuing Nursing in Bhutan. Along with being a Y-PEER member, She is a scout leader in college. She has participated in several leadership programs, and Y-PEER meets organised in Bhutan. In addition, I have been actively engaged in sexual and reproductive health advocacy during my attachment in the hospital. She feels that my to-be career also allows her to expand the knowledge she has on youth-related issues.

Czar Justine D. Navalta

Philippines
Czar Justine D. Navalta is from Ibung, Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines. He graduated at Nueva Vizcaya State University-Bayombong Campus with a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies and finished his Master's degree in teaching Social Studies at Saint Mary's University, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya. His interests are in education, mental health, youth empowerment, and sexuality and reproductive health rights. He participated in the Regional e-course on SRHR and Mental Health by YPEER Asia and the Pacific. He is currently employed as a teacher in Solano High School, one of the public high schools in the Philippines, teaching subjects under the Humanities and Social Sciences strand. He launched his school-based project entitled "Panangtarabay" an Ilocano dialect that means guidance. Project Panangtarabay aims to help learners understand more of themselves, how to manage stress and the career choices they make amidst adversities.

Maryada Neupane

Nepal
Maryada Neupane, 22 from Nepal is an energetic public health undergraduate change maker who believe to normalise the mental health in the community like physical health. She worked in mental health and SRHR projects( MeforMyself, Regional Academy 2.0, Sky isThe Limit, Transform Education hosted by UNGEI,Plan International Nepal) as a core volunteer, member and trainer as well. She like to work with diverse people and learn new perspective. She want to be part of this network as she believe she can grow as a person and advocator from this platform which aid to her explore burning issue faced by people around the globe. She want to contribute her best on this platform.

Mark Devon Lozano Maitim

Philippines
Mark Devon Lozano Maitim is a 4th-year student and currently studying Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Mathematics at Mindanao State University-General Santos City. He is a proud member of the Kagan tribe and a proud Indigenous Person. A current Vice Chairperson of Young Advocates for SRHR and the Convenor of Tagum SDG Youth Action Force. Lastly, he is a public servant, volunteer, youth leader, and advocate. Been part of Young Advocate for SRHR for almost 2 years after our graduation on a Bootcamp online, then after we conducted relative webinars and workshops to creatively introduce to your sector in the Philippines the understanding and access to SRHR. A current Project Head of Youth Service Philippines, Project Development officer of Coexister Philippines l, and member and officer of various organizations in the Philippines. The Project Lead of Batang Ina: Youth-led campaign on PH Adolescent Pregnancy funded by ARROW and supported by WNGRR and a project by Young Advocates for SRHR.

Birendra Bista

Nepal
Birendra Bist is an emerging youth activist from Nepal, who has been passionately working in the area of Sexual and reproductive health and right ( SRHR) for more than 7 years. He has, consistently, become peer-educator, and progressively proved himself to be an energetic youth activist. Academically, he is from science faculty and studies chemistry. Backed up with expertises, and interests on SRHR, he has grounded on grassroot communities, including schools for the dissemination of sexuality education. Furthermore, he has been enthusiastically involving on advocacy for young people's participation on policy-making process, and the collaboration with different governmental agencies, along with INGOs. In nut shell, he aims for the potential youth participation, and SRHR friendly environment.

Qijel Mariano

Philippines
Qjiel Mariano founded Streets to Schools when he was only 15 years old in junior high school. Armed with the knowledge to address at-risk children, he expanded the reach of Streets to Schools to the 17 regions in the Philippines.He believes children and youth’s voices are just as important in policy work and action for social good. He is a keen advocate of education for sustainable development and the #ConnectTheUnconnected campaign which led him to be recognized all over the world in the ESD Okayama Awards in Japan, Generation Connect Global Youth summit in Kigali Rwanda, Kofi Annan Changemakers in Geneva Switzerland, Everyday Young hero Awards in Washington DC, Harvard Innovation Challenge Southeast Asia, and many more. More than the recognition, Qjiel believes in meaningful youth participation to address societal problems through his work as a youth leader.

Kashish Shrestha

Ms Kashish Shrestha has been working on YPEER Nepal and disabilities 2030. Currently she is working as communication intern and involve in various activities and in the sector of disabilities programs as rapporteur also in National E course 2.0 on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Mental Health and peer education. She appreciate being socialised and doing creative work. As a communication intern she has learned many things that have become her great opportunity to be focused.

Rita Puri

Nepal
Rita Puri is 20 years old currently pursuing an Undergraduate degree in Public Health and engaged in the learning process of SRHR and mental well being of young peoples for the past two years. She has engaged with the well recognized International and National organizations such as MeforMyself,Restless Development Nepal, Beyond Beijing Committee,and YOSHAN for engaging on advocacy of SRHR.She has remained Core Volunteer twice in Mental Health Campaign and a Campaign Ambassador 2022 at My Emotions Matters for awareness on Emotional Intelligence. She has facilitated the workshop on various components of CSE,Mental health,Civil Rights and Liberties among the youths.She has conducted case studies,National Dialogue and written blogs,position papers in components of CSE.

Pooja Kumari Baishya

Nepal
Pooja Kumari Baishya is a youth activist from Nepal working in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. She holds a bachelor's degree in management from Tribhuwan University, Nepal, with experience from the grass root to national organisations as well international organisations. Professionally she is a journalist working in the sector of SRHR (sexual reproductive health and rights) . She presents expertise in Safe abortion, Gender issues, and CSE (comprehensive sexual education ) to improve sexual reproductive health and rights for adolescents, youth and everyone. Ms Baishya also has experience with LGBTQIA through involvement in ARROW, groups and individuals activist as an organiser of value clarification events, sessions organizing , dialogues and activities related to sexual reproductive health and rights and Sustainable Development Goals. In 2022 She started the SRHR activist journey.

Prajwal Subedi​

Nepal
Prajwal Subedi is a disabled person (Deaf and hard of hearing). He is currently serving as a national SRHR trainer of deaf young people in Nepal. He is a member of the associate State of the Deaf Youths and YPEER Nepal. He is a core member of disabilities2030. He worked as a supporting coordinator in the 3rd National Training of trainers (NToT) on SRHR for Deaf young people.  Sign language is his first language which he uses to communicate with someone who knows sign language. Likewise, he wants to contribute all the learning and new ideas in the sector of the deaf community. differently. He is passionate to support Deaf people in hope of changing their lives.

Bhoora Lal

Pakistan
Lal is a youth activist and reproductive health advocate. He has half a decade of experience designing and implementing various projects in Pakistan. I have actively worked on youth empowerment, health rights, community development, and individual well-being. He is currently working as executive director at YPD-youth for peace and Development, a youth-led organization motivated to find sustainable, innovative, localized solutions with a global impact. and recently he also won the youth innovation challenge for health and well-being by UNFPA- Pakistan. He is passionate about ensuring that all young people have the opportunity to reach their potential. He believes that all young people should be able to access quality education, health care, and employment opportunities.

Ahmad Syahrul Mubarok

Indonesia
Ahmad Syahrul Mubarok is a grassroot activist who has been focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for the past 3 years. He obtained his Bachelor degree in International Relations Studies with area of interest in gender studies and international organizations. With his experience in grassroot activism for SRHR issues, he offers a profesional and knowledgeable expertise in advocating SRHR for all people. He is currently active as a volunteer at a local NGO called the Perkumpulan Keluarga Berencana Indonesia Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Cabang Sleman. His performance, which is very close to the grassroots community, makes his perspective on the issue of SRHR very inclusive. He is also one of the founders and an educator in a Yogyakarta-based camp for youth, which is focused on understanding gender and SRHR issues.

Ram Dulip Randombage

Ram Dulip Randombage is a Sri Lankan activist working in the area of Human Rights & sexual and reproductive health and rights . He is currently an International Core Member of Y-PEER (Youth Peer Education Network) Asia Pacific Center in Bangkok, Thailand and the Focal Point of Ypeer Sri Lanka .He is a socially conscious activist with a constant passion to serve the young and marginalized community in uplifting their confidence to gain a sense of identity and belonging. As a public icon, He has a keen understanding on the importance of gender identity and equality, youth advocacy, youth participation in leadership and community engagement. Ram is an enthusiastic individual who always strives to help the people in need and he has always had a passion for social and community service work and is willing to lend a helping hand as to do his part to make the world a better place for everyone .

Siva Anggita

Indonesia
Siva anggita is a Youth and Public Health Activist in Indonesia. She is an active member of TB youth movement in Indonesia and took a responsibility as a Leader. Her recent works was educating youth regarding right of health particularly on how to seek treatment in Tuberculosis. She is engaged few influencers in the country and TikTok official to raising TB Awareness in the country. Currently, she is holding a scholarship for her master degree in Public Policy from School of Government in Public Policy and being part of mentors for young women in Public Health in the ASEAN. At the commemoration of world TB day she published the articles title “Economic and Health; The Double Burden of Tuberculosis in Indonesia” on Strategic Review Journal.

Wajid Zahid

Wajid Zahid, doing MPHILL in Gender Studies, He is a young social entrepreneur and have been working on Youth inclusion & empowerment, Advocacy, gender equality and Peace building with different National and International Organization since 2018 currently working as a Secretary Youth Engagement Programs at Ministry Of Environment Protection Punjab, He is a Country Ambassador at PEACE FIRST organizations, seed fund grantee of Asian Pacific Resource and Research Centre For Women(ARROW), founder of EU funded SAP Message of love, Youth Engagement Empowerment Program(YEEP) fellow at United Nations Office of Counter Terrorism( UNCCT) and the leading Youth ambassadors network at the Asia Foundation.

He is a philanthropist, polyglot, aesthete and quite solipsistic person who loves to read, write, socialize, play football and CHESS. Shehroze Sultan is the author of Sub Rosa and Pehli Baarish. His goals through writing is not to change the world or compete in race for fame and money. It’s merely to comfort people with truth in times of their despairs through words spell. He has been part of different humanitarian organizations and currently he is working to improve the livelihood of refugees in his country . Shehroze Sultan holds his Masters in English Literature and Linguistics.He is also the CEO of Travel in Ecstasy.

Mr Muhammad Kamal

Mr Muhammad Kamal is from District Kurram (EX-FATA). He received his early education from District Kurram. He completed his Matric from New Kohisar public high school sadda lower Kurram. He is motivated and aware of all who are entirely deprived of fundamental rights, and he can provide them with primary education and awareness. He is Currently Working in UNHCR as an Admin and Logistic Officer. He completed the English Work Program with the Collaboration of REPID. He enjoyed it and Procced to more Professional Life.

Nilupuli Nayanathara

Srilanka
Nilupuli Nayanathara is a social work undergraduate at the School of Social Work Sri Lanka, a freelance journalist, She is a trainer on SRHR and is a feminist. She is a co-founder of Meraki Sri Lanka, which is promoting the social work profession in Sri Lanka. She currently volunteers at Youth Advocacy Network Sri Lanka, FPA Sri Lanka, and engages in a few political movements. Nilupuli was a youth champion at the Asia Safe Abortion Partnership in 2019. She represented Zahara’s Dream Global Feminist Initiative as the Asian Sister Keeper, and she shared her SRHR knowledge on their digital platforms. Nilupuli recently worked as a research assistant at a few organizations, some of which were related to domestic violence, online harassment of the LGBTQ community, the rights of communities with disabilities, and teen pregnancy.
